Glossary

Alternate Universe (AU)- A.k.a alternate reality. When the author breaks the storyline and puts his/her events in or rewrites the history of the show.

Character Study- An in depth story of a certain character explaining his/her history or point of view.

Crossover- When two fictional worlds collide. Examples: Buffy and Angel, Buffy and Harry Potter, Buffy and X-Files.

Pairing- Two characters linked romantically, a.k.a 'ship.

P.O.V - A certain character's point of view.

Series- Complete stories that have sequels t that relate to each other, but have different plots. Much like actual episodes.

Songfic- A story that song lyrics are inserted somewhere into the story as a character listening to or thinking about.

Wishverse- The universe that was created in Season Three of Buffy entitles "The Wish"
